This lively and interactive three-day course is designed to help delegates develop their understanding of how the business and management processes of laboratories can be combined effectively with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017.

This course – delivered over one day in the classroom or two days online – is designed to help delegates to understand some of the most important statistical concepts used by analytical scientists, calculate the most common statistics, apply significance testing and use linear regression in calibration.

This two-day course provides delegates with an appreciation of the requirements of ISO/IEC 17020 and related UK and international guidance, and its application to accreditation for various types of inspection activity.

NPL has developed the metrology required to understand the behaviour and performance of bioplastics to support biome bioplastics in its quality control and product development.

This course builds on the topics covered in the ‘Statistics for analytical scientists’ course and includes some more advanced statistical tools.

ISO/IEC 17029 is the International Standard for conformity assessment of bodies providing validation and verification services.

Delegates taking this course will gain robust understanding of the laboratory management requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and be able to identify the various responsibilities for overall laboratory management.
