The world-renowned MACH show returns to the NEC Birmingham on 15-19 April 2024. This exhibition is recognised as the UK’s national exhibition for inspiring, innovating and connecting manufacturing.

The updated website has a host of new capabilities for members, including training updates, a live jobs board – free for members – and editable member profiles. There are also regular training discounts and special offers. 

The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) and the University of Manchester are bringing together government, industry and technology leaders to understand and explore quantum technologies and how organisations can prepare and utilise this disruptive technology into strategic plans.

Local technology consortium Smart Nano NI, formed to further the development of smart manufacturing in Northern Ireland, has launched the largest 5G testbed in Northern Ireland in Derry-Londonderry. 

Led by the industry trade body Make UK, the day offered a chance for UK manufacturers to open their doors and demonstrate the opportunities available across the sector. 

This acquisition strengthens NMi’s foothold in the applied metrology and calibration industry and marks a significant step forward in its strategic expansion in the UK. 

EURAMET Technical Committee for Mass and Related Quantities (TC-M) has published a guide on the calibration of automatic weighing instruments. 

The annual Industrial Metrology Forum takes place on 14 November in Manchester.
