IMEKO Talks – Sensors and Biosensors for Drugs Analysis

Overview:

There are several analytical methods for the control of environmental contaminants however, they demand time and consumables which often make the process more expensive. Among the use of alternative methods, sensors and biosensors have grown, mainly due to their fast response, the possibility of using in loco without the need for pre-treatment, and the low cost of consumables.

Dr. Sonia Tanimoto holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and PhD in Analytical Chemistry, specifically in Electrochemistry and Electroanalytical. She works at the Senai Institute of Innovation in Biotechnology as a specialist researcher.
