The InstMC will manage the process, shortlisting the best candidates and ensuring that each applicant matches any company-specific requirements. This will significantly reduce the burden of cost and administration for companies participating in the scheme.
The annual placement will run for eight weeks commencing Summer 2022 and applications will only be accepted from undergraduates studying for an accredited MEng or BEng degree at one of the InsteMC partner universities. Applications open in October 2021.

- A management fee of £895 is paid to InstMC for the first year of the scholarship, and £240 per annum for each subsequent year.
- A bursary fee for one scholarship is £1000 per annum for each year of the scholarship.
- Salary for one scholar – minimum of £345 per week for the duration of the eight-week placement for each year of scholarship.
