The challenges brought about by the covid19 situation have created an unprecedented change in the way students and the academic workforce across the UK are operating. Working remotely has become a new reality for many, with employers, employees and students alike all looking for ways to adapt.
To help students and staff across academia with ongoing development of industry relevant skills NPL have announced the suspension of all fees associated with their e-learning training courses which are now available free of charge until 30 June 2020. Courses, which may cost up to £700, cover a variety of different content including metrology, testing and analysis, calibration and a range of specialised applications.
While on-line learning has long been a pillar of academic learning, the stay at home approach required to help address the challenges of covid19 has meant significant changes. As the UK’s National Measurement institute (NMI), the National Physical Laboratory has long played a role in knowledge transfer and skills development through a wide variety of on and off-line measurement focussed training courses. The e-learning modules from NPL can help address the need for developing the skills in measurements science that are crucial across many different industries.
