The ILAC and IAF have announced the appointment of Dr.-Ing. Thomas Facklam Unternehmensberatung as the preferred contractor for the IAF-ILAC Single Organisation Project. Dr. Ing. Facklam is well known having been Chairman of IAF, a member of the EA Executive Committee, Chief Executive of DAkks.

For those companies trading with Europe and particularly those currently being challenged by the implementation of HMRC-15, the government has announced a £20 million SME Brexit Support Fund which will enable companiesto apply for a grant of up to £2,000 to pay for practical support for importing and exporting. The fund will be administered through the pre-existing Customs Grant Scheme and will open for applications next month.
This fund does not address the issues raised by HMRC-15, for member companies but it will provide some much needed support for those needing 3rd party advice.
Following the end of the transition period on 31 December 2020, the UK Government has the freedom to design a new domestic subsidy control regime that reflects its strategic interests and particular national circumstances.
