EUROLAB
EUROLAB (European Federation of National Associations of Measurement, Testing and Analytical Laboratories) was created in 1990 in response to the need for a coherent Europe-wide organisation to encourage technical harmonisation and cooperation essential for trade.
EUROLAB is comprised of 16 active members, of which BMTA is one, and 9 associated members from candidate countries to the EU representing a total of over 2000 private and public laboratories.
The EUROLAB General Assembly meets at least once per year to decide on major issues on measurement and testing to elect the EUROLAB Chairman and members of the Executive Committee. BMTA is currently represented on the General Assembly and is also represented on the Eurolab TCQA - Technical Committee for Quality Assurance.
More details on EUROLAB activities can be found on www.eurolab.org. The EUROLAB Technical Secretariat is currently based at LNE in France. |
