Membership of the Association is open to all laboratory based organisations and individuals with an interest in the measurement and testing industry.  This includes laboratory managers, measurement and quality specialists, process and control engineers, and all those whose work involves them in measurement or testing.

Many, but not all, BMTA members operate UKAS accredited laboratories

Membership fees for 2013 are:

• For very small organisations with fewer than 7 employees or partners - £165 + VAT
• For organisations with between 7 and 24 full time employees or partners - £350 + VAT
• For organisations with between 25 and 250 employees - £600 + VAT
• For organisations with more than 250 employees - £825 + VAT
